Observation #4

Here’s another: Consensus of opinion is redundant (kind of like dumb Irish – o.k., now you know I’m at least part Irish).

This one’s for one of my favorite teachers, a very elegant gentleman who taught Shakespeare & British Lit: Forté (for-tay) is only used when one is talking about music! If speaking about one’s strong points, it is pronounced forte (fort) and spelled as you see here - without the emphasis on the "e".

I won’t get into the current weird use of the word embedded.  It just sounds too painful.

Observation #1

Why are there so many books about having a baby? I have several friends who have recently given birth, or are about to, and the first thing they want to do after discovering they’re pregnant is go out and by books about having a baby. Don’t mothers explain this stuff to their children anymore? My mother didn’t have books for this, nor did hers, etc. Women have been having babies for generations, but suddenly we need written instructions? Maybe we need fewer books on giving birth, and more on the responsibilities that come with having children (see first column).

Never Forget:

"Our public servants work for us - we don't work for them. We have an obligation, as citizens of this country, to always remember that - and to never let them forget it." - DeadMessengers
