Irregardless is not a word.  Regardless is.

 


 

Another recent mispronunciation happened during the early days of the Iraqi War. Several soldiers, then a few journalists (who should definitely know better) used the word cashet (cash ay) when <verbally> describing large amounts of weapons and ammunition found, usually hidden.  That word means seal of approval, prestige, etc.

The correct word is cache (cash).
